Greetings Dawners! We’ve had a busy few months with major progress on both the blockchain and FirstBlood ESports Gaming Platform. From transitioning from a relatively quiet period of time until this quarter, we trust that you are pleased with the direction that we are taking the project. For those of you who may have missed some of the updates, let’s recap the year up until this point!
A New Dawn
After a lot of careful planning and consideration, we decided to upgrade the FirstBlood Platform to include a new token: Dawn. The new token would enable FirstBlood’s community of more than 200,000 users to wager with crypto, and compete against each other on some of the world’s most popular video games. On April 21st, 2020, we launched the newly minted Dawn token alongside the new blockchain with functions for staking and governance.
The project’s mission is to empower eSports players globally by giving them competitions and career opportunities. Blockchain innovation will empower competitive gamers by fostering an international ecosystem and making eSports safe, reputable and transparent.
Dawn Token Swap
With the birth of the new token, we created the Dawn Token Swap portal to allow 1ST token holders to swap their tokens for Dawn at a 1:1 ratio. Approved geographies can head over to the portal now. We anticipate a significant number of 1ST to be swapped to the new chain to take advantage of our platform’s new functionality. If you are eligible for a token swap, we encourage you to do so at this time.
Since May 4th, FirstBlood token holders are be able to initiate a swap of the current 1ST token into Dawn using our token swap portal. This decision is optional, and discretionary to 1st token holders. Once 1st tokens are swapped, they will be burnt and removed from circulation. In their place, Dawn tokens will replace the 1st tokens for those who choose to swap.
Announcements regarding how individuals can swap on exchange partners like Bittrex Global and ZB are expected to be forthcoming in the near future.
The new token will enable an upgraded decentralized eSports experience in a number of ways. Individuals who are staking Dawn tokens will have elevated platform benefits in the FirstBlood eSports app using a staking-for-benefits mechanism that is similar to popular platform Binance and Celsius Network. To further its goal of empowering eSports players, Dawn token holders will also be able to vote on various measures taken by the platform development team. For instance, the Dawn token holders will be empowered to select game integration priorities and will also be able to influence the roll-out of additional token functions. Moreover, the token stakers may receive additional benefits, including better odds in certain games as well as a percentage of the funds obtained by the platform and community for hosting eSports tournaments and reward pools.
FirstBlood is a peer-to-peer eSports platform offering competitors the opportunity to win rewards by challenging each other to skill-based games like PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS and DOTA 2. The project’s mission is to empower eSports players globally by giving them competitions and career opportunities. What about 1ST tokens?
You are not required to swap your 1ST. FirstBlood token holders may continue to enjoy using 1ST on the FirstBlood dApp. 1ST is currently still trading on multiple exchanges and remains an integrated part of the platform.

FirstBlood Plus
In addition to creating our new blockchain product, we were also hard at work to improve the FirstBlood esports gaming platform. To meet the demands of our growing player base, we have implemented a variety of new features that will benefit our users, and as a result, our token holders as well.
FirstBlood Plus is our new premium subscription service that allows members to earn double the rewards in events and tournaments, and get access to early event & tournament registration, as well as providing access to premium support services. By empowering our users with premium features, we expect FirstBlood Plus to significantly drive growth of the eSports platform over the next year.
And our users agree. Last month was a record breaking month for FirstBlood, with our highest number of Dota 2 active users since we launched the platform.
You can expect our platform to continue to improve as we fine-tune based on experience, customer feedback, and the evolution of the gaming space. Oh, and did we mention? New games are coming. Call of Duty: WarZone will be implemented onto FirstBlood in the very near future, so keep an eye out for that.
Staking Unlocked
The first new benefit offered to Dawn holders is the ability to stake your tokens directly on the FirstBlood platform. Token holders can now lock up their Dawn and receive complimentary access to FirstBlood Plus for the duration of your tokens being locked up.
In addition to complimentary access to FirstBlood Plus, we are developing creative new ways to reward the Dawn token holders who are active participants on the platform. The staking model will expand and grow to include a variety of additional benefits as we continue to expand our product.

And it doesn’t end there. We will soon enable the ability to wager and earn Dawn and other cryptocurrencies in-platform for playing tournaments and matches. Our next major features include implementing our governance protocol and integrating Dawn directly into the FirstBlood platform. This will mark a major step forward in delivering what we outlined in the original whitepaper.
Exchanges
In just a month’s time, we were able to secure two major exchange listings for Dawn. Token holders can trade their tokens on both ProBit and BigONE exchanges. If you have not already created an account with these exchanges, we encourage you to check them out.
We are also currently working with other exchanges to help facilitate the token swap for users who want an easier solution for swapping their 1ST to the new Dawn token. Stay tuned to our social media channels for updates, as we will be announcing more soon.
